Science Center of Iowa

The Science Center of Iowa offers dedicated homeschool science programs for families in Des Moines and surrounding communities. Students participate in hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, creative design projects, and collaborative STEM activities led by Science Center educators. The Homeschool Science Series serves kindergarten through eighth grade, while advanced workshops provide more challenging science, robotics, coding, and engineering opportunities for older students. Current programs explore topics such as the human brain, innovation, robotics, simple machines, and emerging technology. Registration also includes admission to the Science Center for the remainder of the day.
