The Nebraska History Museum offers monthly Homeschool Days created specifically for homeschool students and their families in Lincoln. Each program explores a different part of Nebraska history through hands-on activities, museum exhibits, historical objects, art, and interactive learning. Upcoming themes include archaeology, fall traditions, Nebraska artists, winter traditions, inventions, and the Wild West. Programs frequently partner with organizations such as the Great Plains Art Museum and International Quilt Museum to provide additional learning experiences. Homeschool Days primarily serve preschool through eighth-grade students and provide families with opportunities to explore history outside the traditional classroom.
