Black Homeschoolers of Birmingham

Black Homeschoolers of Birmingham is a membership-based support group serving homeschool families in the Birmingham area while intentionally centering Black and Brown homeschooled children. The organization provides a supportive environment where families can participate in planned activities, educational field trips, social gatherings, and community-building opportunities throughout the school year. Its mission focuses on creating a safe space where children can learn, play, develop friendships, and grow alongside peers with shared cultural experiences. This resource may be especially valuable for families seeking representation, culturally responsive community, and meaningful connections beyond academic instruction. Black Homeschoolers of Birmingham is a support group rather than a school or curriculum provider, so parents remain responsible for their children’s primary education. Membership availability, fees, activity schedules, and event requirements should be confirmed directly through the organization’s official website.
