Vermont History Museum

Vermont History Museum offers a recurring History for Homeschoolers program for students in Montpelier and surrounding Vermont communities. Classes meet monthly and use museum collections, historical objects, documents, and hands-on activities to explore different parts of Vermont history. The 2026–27 series runs from September through February, with each two-hour session centered on a different historical theme. Activities are designed for students ages 7 to 12 and may include reading, writing, discussion, investigation, and interactive history projects. Parents may stay during the program, and younger non-participating children may accompany their families.
