Kearney Homeschool Co-op

Kearney Homeschool Co-op is a parent-led homeschool community serving families in Kearney and the Kansas City Northland area. Families meet on Thursdays for two eleven-week semesters each year. Students participate in three classes each co-op day plus lunch and community activities. Courses change each semester and have included art, graphic design, LEGO construction, science, Spanish, baking, drama, physical education, first aid, poetry, and life skills. The co-op also organizes field trips, formal events, graduation celebrations, seasonal parties, yearbooks, and field days. Families are not required to sign a statement of faith, although the cooperative meets in a church and maintains Christian leadership.
